FWIF I followed a diesel RHD land cruiser down the hill yesterday and it stunk like shit. There is a reason catalytic converters are required. This is not a diesel, so not as stinky.

Oppo in general seems to lose its mind over land cruisers. I’ve read a lot of detailed posts from people here, and I objectively can understand what’s good about them, but viscerally I just don’t get it. Maybe if I ever get to sit and ride in one, I’ll understand. I’m curious.

93 isn’t the model year to get, old A442 non-electronic 4 speed, semi float rear axle with pansy rear brakes, the old dash and the 1fz had some ugly emissions control equipment. If im importing im getting dat stinky ass model.

They are one of those vehicles that get under your skin. Its the little things that make you go “man, that was smart” or when you pull apart something thats been on the road for 250,000 miles and it looks like it has barely any wear. Plus the 80 series is just magic off road.

I don’t think it would be very entertaining to drive or ride in, it’s just a pristine example of a 25 year old truck that seems to be very popular at the moment .
